Fact #1:
ENERGY SAVINGS

Installing electronic ballast and T8 lamps in existing lighting can save up to 70% on your electric bill. Savings can be accurately calculated through a comprehensive lighting survey at no cost. Lighting products such as compact fluorescent lamps, LED exit lamps, aluminum reflectors, and motion sensors can save over 70% in energy costs.

Fact #2:
BETTER COLOR / REDUCED GLARE

New T8 lamps produce a color rendering index of 85. Natural sunlight is 100. Products, skin tone, office environment, and your facility’s appearance will be sharply improved. Reflectors and louvers can drastically reduce CRT and overall glare. This can be demonstrated as part of a lighting survey or sample installation.

Fact #3
NO MAINTENANCE / LOWER AIR-CONDITIONING COST

New T8 lamps and electronic ballast are warranteed up to 5 full years. Replacement is at no cost. Life expectancy on electronic ballast is 20+ years & T8 lamps is 20,000+ hours. A new lighting retrofit will produce far less heat. This will reduce air conditioning cost during hot months.

Fact #4
INCREASED LIGHT / CLEAN LIGHT FIXTURE

New T8 lamps produce higher light output than conventional lamps over their life span. During the installation of energy efficient lighting, the light fixture and light lens should be cleaned. A clean light fixture and lens will produce increased light output for a brighter facility.

Fact #5
ADDITIONAL POWER

By decreasing power consumption, your facility will have additional electric lead capacity. This can reduce most electrical panel upgrade cost, should more power be required for additional equipment or facility space.

Fact #6
FINANCING

Financing a new lighting system can avoid the wait and provide an immediate vehicle to get “positive cash flow” based on energy savings. Make sure energy savings will provide a true positive cash flow. Ask if the company will guarantee the savings. Confirm the financing package is at a competitive rate. And, that at the termination there is no additional cost.

Fact #7
CHOOSE A QUALITY LIGHTING COMPANY

A lighting survey should be at no cost or obligation. The survey should be comprehensive and detail provided on each area and /or room. Check all references and ask for a sample of a proposal to a customer who has already installed an energy efficient system. Make sure the lighting products being installed are UL listed quality manufacturers such as GE, Sylvania, Philips, Magnetek, Advance, Motorola, etc.
